Terms of Service

1. Account Ownership and Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your VeriQuery account and password. We require only a username and email to establish an account. The account owner is the sole party responsible for the data within the account and for ensuring that any team members using the account also adhere to these terms. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

2. Cancellations and Immediate Deletion

You are solely responsible for properly canceling your account, which you can do at any time through your account settings. An email or phone request to cancel your account does not constitute cancellation.

Upon cancellation, all of your content—including active surveys and gathered responses—will become immediately inaccessible and will be immediately and permanently deleted from our active systems. We cannot recover this information once you have clicked cancel, so please export your data before doing so.

3. Refunds

If you realize VeriQuery isn't the right fit, you may request a full refund within one week (7 days) of your very first subscription payment. Reach out to our support team within this window and we will process the refund. Please note that upon processing a refund, your account will be immediately canceled and all survey data will be permanently dropped from our systems.

4. Taxes and Billing

Our listed pricing does not include applicable taxes. Depending on your billing address and local tax laws, relevant taxes will be automatically calculated and added to your total at checkout.

We process payments directly through our payment processor (Stripe) and do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We store your billing address strictly to charge you for service, calculate taxes, send invoices, and detect fraudulent transactions.

5. Security Overview

Keeping customer data safe is our top priority. All data transmitted from our servers to your browser is encrypted via SSL/TLS.

• Passwords: We do not store plaintext passwords. All account passwords are cryptographically hashed using the Argon2 algorithm.
• Data at Rest: Our database provider (MongoDB Atlas) secures your stored surveys and responses at rest using AES-256 encryption.

Internal access to our servers is strictly limited to authorized personnel.
